Legacy Conversations - The Family Conversation You Want to Have

One of the most important aspects of your estate plan has nothing to do with your assets – but rather – your life story.

No matter how large or small your estate – the most valuable thing you can pass on to your loved ones are your life stories, your values and your family history. Preserve your memories and family history with a Legacy Conversation.

You may have told your kids the story of how you met your spouse or shared some funny childhood stories, but have you done it in a way that can be passed on from generation to generation?

Learn More about RLO Legacy Conversations

A Legacy Conversation with the Ritchie Law Office, Ltd. is where we ask you some questions about your life (we send you those questions in advance so you can think about them) and we digitally record your conversation to create an mp3 audio recording. The Legacy Conversation can just consist of the MP3 audio recording – or if you want to bring in photos, we can scan those photos and create a video documentary of your life as you tell your life stories.

What were your grandparents like? What was it like for you growing up? What are the fondest memories you have of your children growing up? What were your hobbies? What was your biggest life lesson? What was the most difficult thing you had to overcome? What are your values? Recording a legacy conversation gives your family a personalized message from you that they can listen to or watch over and over again.

I wish I could have had a Legacy Conversation with my father before he passed away almost two years ago. One of the hardest things after someone passing is knowing you can’t talk to them anymore. I was fortunate enough to have taken some videos of my dad over the last 30 years and I made a memorial video of him for his funeral services that you can see here. This video is priceless to me.

You have an opportunity to preserve your thoughts, values, and experiences with your loved ones for generations to come by recording a Legacy Conversation with the Ritchie Law Office, Ltd. If you would like more information on the Legacy Conversation process you can CLICK HERE.
