Chad Ritchie is the founder and sole shareholder of the Ritchie Law Office, Ltd. He is a lifelong resident of McLean County growing up on a farm near Colfax, Illinois. Chad graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science. He obtained his law degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 2002. Chad has been a solo practitioner for the majority of his legal career. Chad has a passion for serving families and businesses with estate planning, real estate and business law. He continually looks for ways to improve the Ritchie Law Office, Ltd. to better serve its clients. Chad lives in the Downs area and is married to his wife Kara and loves watching his two children – Addison and Jackson, play sports.
Katrina Lueck is Chad Ritchie’s legal assistant and helps manage the firm’s office. Katrina assists with drafting legal documents, tracks the firm’s workflow and maintains the firm’s record keeping. Katrina and her husband Tyler are ISU graduates and cheer on the Redbirds when they can at ISU basketball games. Katrina and Tyler welcomed their first baby, Carter, in November 2018. Katrina is a runner and has completed two full marathons and a half marathon. When not at work, Katrina enjoys being with her family and friends and playing with her dog Cooper.
Sarah is the firm’s Legal Assistant and manages Estate Plan files - helping Chad conduct Ritchie Legacy Planning Meetings and drafting various legal documents. She also manages the firm’s marketing. Sarah is a graduate of McKendree University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Writing and Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. She then continued on at McKendree University to earn her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Sarah and her husband Grant recently made the transition back to Central Illinois after living in St. Louis for the last seven years. Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, hunting, fishing, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
Tammy joined RLO in February 2020 as Chad’s Executive Assistant. She is the main contact for scheduling appointments and ensures the firm's estate planning clients have a great experience working with the Ritchie Law Office, Ltd. Tammy and her husband Jim are parents to two adults sons. As empty-nesters, they have quickly adjusted to having open schedules and very few time commitments. They enjoy driving vacations – the longer the road trip, the better. In her free time, Tammy likes to try new recipes and spend quality time with family and friends.
