Legacy Conversations

No matter how large or small your estate – the most valuable thing you can pass on to your loved ones are your life stories, your values and your family history. Preserve your memories and family history with a Legacy Conversation.

Legacy Conversations

You may have told your kids the story of how you met your spouse or shared some funny childhood stories, but have you done it in a way that can be passed on from generation to generation?

A Legacy Conversation with the Ritchie Law Office, Ltd. is where we ask you some questions about your life (we send you those questions in advance so you can think about them) and we digitally record your conversation to create an mp3 audio recording.  The Legacy Conversation can just consist of the MP3 audio recording – or if you want to bring in photos we can scan those photos and create a video documentary of your life as you tell your life stories. Recording a legacy conversation gives your family a personalized message from you that they can listen to or watch over and over again.

To record a legacy conversation, call our office at 309-662-7000 or fill out the form on this page and we will reach out to you! Once an appointment is scheduled, we will send you a list of questions to review and prepare for and a few picture ideas to create a photo/video documentary.

When the day comes, you will come to our office and we will interview you (or you and your spouse) and record that interview on MP3. Interviews typically last around 60 minutes - but don't worry! Time normally goes by fast.

Once the interview is finished, we will send you a MP3 version of your recording. If you choose the package that includes the photo or video slide show, we will piece together your audio and visuals to build your finished product!
