Faith In Action Breakfast

I was very fortunate to be invited to Faith In Action’s “Take Action” Breakfast last Monday. Faith in Action provides spiritual, physical, and emotional support to seniors 60 years and over so they can maintain independence, dignity and improved quality of life.

Faith in Action is a private charitable organization that does not receive any funding from the government. They recruit, train and organize volunteers with Bloomington-Normal’s Senior Community that need help with rides to doctor appointments; grocery shopping; light maintenance around the home; or just to come and visit with. Faith in Action helps over 500 care receivers in our community. Without Faith in Action, most of these members of our community could no longer live independently at home.

At the “Take Action” Breakfast, a volunteer care-giver and a care-receiver spoke. Both talks were very powerful and showed the deep impact helping others can have in our community. If you would like to know more about this amazing organization – either to volunteer or on behalf of someone that needs care –click here for their website. Faith in Action is a 501(c)3 Not-for-Profit Organization. You can donate to Faith in Action by clicking here.
