Reflecting on my Term as OSF St. Joseph Foundation Board President

This October marks the end of my two-year term as President of the OSF St. Joseph Foundation Board. It has been an honor to help OSF Saint Joseph carry out its Mission, which is ". . . to serve persons with the greatest care and love in a community that celebrates the gift of life".

Children's Mental Health In Central Illinois

One of the most memorable events the Foundation had was the OSF Foundation Crystal Ball - which served to raise funds for Children's Mental Health Services in Central Illinois. This black-tie event's goal was to raise $100,000 for pediatric mental health services. Here a video that was shown at this event.

OSF St. Joseph - Chapel Campaign

Another big OSF St. Joseph Foundation campaign was to raise funds to build a new chapel onto the OSF St. Joseph Hospital Campus. This new chapel will allow the hospital to better meet the spiritual needs of patients and families of our community while at the hospital. You can watch the video below to tour the current Chapel and learn more about the Chapel Project:

Everyone that works or who is affiliated with OSF St. Joseph Hospital is called a "Mission Partner". From what I have seen, everyone - from the top executives to the doctors and nurses to the hospital staff -- truly believes in their Mission ". . . to serve persons with the greatest care and love in a community that celebrates the gift of life".

If you have a passion for our community and would like to see how the OSF Foundation could serve our community even more - I would direct you to Kimberly Scheirer, who is the Director of Philanthropy of the OSF St. Joseph Foundation here in Bloomington, Illinois. Her phone number is (309) 665-4901. You can e-mail Kimberly with questions you have by Clicking Here. Kimberly would be happy to talk to you.

It was my honor to serve as President of the OSF St. Joseph Foundation Board for the last two years and to do a very small part in helping the OSF St. Joseph Foundation ". . . to serve persons with the greatest care and love in a community that celebrates the gift of life".
