Some of you may know that I am a Member and current President of the OSF St. Joseph Foundation Board here in McLean County.
This last weekend my wife Kara and I attended the OSF St. Joseph’s Crystal Ball – a black tie event to raise money for the Foundation. The goal was to raise $100,000 at this event to help fund Pediatric Mental Health here in Mclean County.
I honestly did not have much contact with OSF prior to serving on its Foundation Board three years ago but it didn’t take me much time realize that OSF is a great organization that really cares about our community.
OSF Healthcare Mission Statement is " . . . to serve persons with the greatest care and love in a community that celebrates the gift of life."
If you have read the newspaper, watched television or Youtube, you know "care and love" seem to be in short supply these days.
Since being on this Foundation Board I have observed first-hand that the values of the OSF Healthcare Mission Statement are reflected in OSF's leaders, executives, administrators and other mission partners and this Mission Statement is OSF Healthcare's driving force.
Here is a short video about the huge need we have for pediatric mental health care in McLean County and how funds raised by the OSF Foundation Crystal Ball Event are trying to help.
I am grateful for the OSF Foundation and all of the other not-for-profit organizations in McLean County that “serve with the greatest care and love” to those in need in our community.
